v Sydney 20 over game

The game got underway despite earlier storms and heavy rain and was played under threatening skies.  Sydney won the toss and batted and a steady flow of wickets eventually saw them all out for 70.  All bowlers did well with good catching and fielding a feature again of our efforts.

So a total of 71 was required in the 20 overs.  With a few early setbacks slowing down the run rate we were eventually steered to a victory in the 17th over with an invaluable innings by Hannah Perry (40 n.o.) and Shannon Heath (5 n.o.) who provided great support to Hannah after the loss of the early wickets.  So we finished at 3 for 71.  We celebrated a good win and also Heidi Cheadle's birthday as it again started to rain.
