The Women's Division of the Gordon District Cricket Club was established in 1982-83. Some of the greatest names in women's cricket have played for the Gordon Club including the recently retired international Lisa Sthalekar. The club has won The Ann Mitchell Club Championship Trophy on at least seven occasions.
Our 2015-16 1st Grade side boasts multiple State open or underage representative players in its ranks. Some of our other grade and junior players are representative players at regional levels. Above all every club member plays for fun and enjoyment.
The Gordon Club plays in the Sydney Cricket Association's Women's Competition (SCAWC) with a team competing in each grade - 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade and in the Under 17 Brewer Shield. We also support a junior structure and field teams in the Northern Sydney Girls Cricket Association (NSGCA) competition, providing girls with a clear pathway to develop their game.
The Club encourages participation and fun as the key objectives for all players.
As part of our junior and senior development we offer club coaching. Training sessions are typically held on Wednesdays at 5.30pm during the season.
Family and friends provide support and encouragement to all our players, and an enthusiastic management committee ensures there is a great choice of social functions for senior and junior members to enjoy with their family and friends.
