Introducing our "Little Reds and Blues"
We are excited to announce the creation of another step in the Mighty Reds pathway with us entering two teams in the newly formed Cricket NSW Little Breakers Competition. The competition is a modified format with 8 players in each team. We have 10 players in each of the Gordon Red and Gordon Blue teams who compete against other clubs from 5.30pm - 7pm on Friday nights at Bales Park Chatswood. The competition commenced on the 25th October and runs for 8 weeks through until the 13th of December.
The teams are coached by 3rd Grade's Kirsten "Spud" Levy. Spud is also running the Gordon Juniors (Men's Club) In2Cricket on Saturday mornings at Beauchamp Park which sees her setting up equipment for drills at 6.30am. Spud then goes onto play 3rds on Saturday afternoon. She assures us she sleeps very well on Saturday nights! She also tells us our "Little Reds and Blues" are LOUD! I went to watch them myself one Friday night - Lots of handstands, dancing and laughing in between some promising glimpses of cricket!
Great work Spud!
We look forward to seeing some of our Little Reds and Blues making their way right through our unique pathway to 1st Grade in the years to come.
GO THE MIGHTY REDS!
Saskia Horley named in the NSW for U/15 Female National Championships squad.
