Player Membership 2009/10

Players should be aware that it costs in excess of $100,000 to field 5 Grade teams during the season. This equates to more than $1500 per player so it is obvious that players’ subscriptions are heavily subsidised by the Club.

New rules are in place this season with regards to payment of Players’ Subscriptions.

For cash-flow purposes, subscriptions need to be paid early in the season. It is also important that volunteers do not waste time chasing payment from players. For these reasons, and with the intention of not significantly raising the level of subs over previous years for players who pay on time, the Committee has determined that the fees for the 2009/2010 Season will be as follows.

Please note that the new Subscription Rules will be strictly administered.

Conditions/Rules:

1. ALL Grade players are expected to pay subscriptions at the beginning of the season, despite condition 2, except those who represented NSW in senior 1^st or 2^nd XI matches last season.

2.   ANY player who plays 12 or more 1^st Grade matches (including two-day, LO, T20 preliminary or finals series matches) or represents NSW in senior 1^st or 2^nd XI matches during the current season will receive a full refund of subscriptions that he has paid.

3.   The Discount Annual Subscription amount will apply ONLY if the subscription is paid by 31^st October, subject to condition 4.

4.   Grade players unable to pay the Discount Annual Subscription in full by 31^st October may still qualify to pay the Discount Annual Subscription, ONLY if the player reaches an agreement with either the Hon. Secretary or the Hon. Treasurer, on behalf of the Club, for a payment plan, which must be in writing and signed on behalf of the Club and by the player) PRIOR to 31^st October. If the player does not comply with the agreed payment plan , the agreement will be terminated and the balance of the Annual Subsription (non-discounted) will become payable in full immediately. Should the balance of the Annual Subscription not be received by the Club within 7 days of the player’s breach of the agreement, the breach will be referred to the Selectors who, on behalf of the Club, reserve the right to drop or not select the player for the next and subsequent matches until the balance of the Annual Subscription is paid in full.

5.   Grade players who neither pay the Discount Annual Subscription by 31^st October nor agree a payment plan are required to pay the full amount of the Annual Subscription by 30^th November. A breach of this condition will be referred to the Selectors who, on behalf of the Club, reserve the right to drop or not select the player for the next or subsequent matches until the Annual Subscription is paid in full.

6.   Green Shield Player Subscriptions will be due and payable prior to Round 1 of the Green Shield Competition. Green Shield players who have paid a Grade playing subscription are not required to pay any addition subscription for Green Shield.

8.   Should a player introduce a sponsor to the Club  (total payment of $1500 or more per annum), the player’s subscriptions for that year will be waived.

The player may also be progressively dropped in grade until the subscription is paid. A player who has genuine financial difficulties may make arrangements to pay his subscription in three equal, successive monthly installments; If any of these installments are not paid by its due date, the player may also be progressively dropped in grade until the installments are brought up to date. Arrangements for the payment of subscriptions by installments must be made with the Treasurer prior to the due date.

Once any overdue subscription is paid, or any overdue installment is brought up to date, a player who has been dropped will again be eligible for selection in any grade for which his form justifies selection.

The Treasurer will keep the Chairman of Selectors informed of the status of each player's subscription.

If a player has not paid his subscription he will be added to the NSWCA Defaulters List.

If a player has not paid his subscription by October 31st the player will be added to the NSWCA defaulters list.

- Direct deposit at any Westpac Branch to the account of 'Gordon District Cricket Club Inc' (located at Victoria Ave Chatswood), Account Details - as above;
